Castelli traces its roots back to Vittore Gianni, a fine Milanese tailor founded in 1876 that through the years clothed AC Milan, Juventus and the Milan Ballet.
Their first introduction to the cycling world was making clothing for World Champion and Giro winner Alfredo Binda in the 1910’s. The Castelli connection came along in 1935 when Armando Castelli first joined Gianni’s staff and then went on to buy the company. The Scorpion was born in 1974.
Over the years the names of some of the most famous cyclists have been clothed by Castelli…riders like Bartali, Coppi, Anquetil, Hinault, Moser, Pezzo, Hushovd, Team Ineos. Why not you too?
